Anonymize contracts to reuse them or share them with third parties
A well-negotiated contract is an asset: it becomes the template for the next client, goes into evidence in another case, is sent to an expert or reviewed with an outside tool. Every time it leaves, it takes with it the signatories' names, ID numbers, addresses, the bank account for payments and the e-signature stamp printed vertically in the margin of every page.

Anonimatum starts from the «Contract with side signature stamps» template, which hides signatories even in that rotated margin text, removes QR codes and addresses, and keeps the subject, price and terms visible. Patterns for Spanish personal and company tax IDs and the [G] IBAN español pattern complete the detection of identifiers.
If the contract is in Word, it is anonymized in Word: a .docx goes in and a .docx comes out, with no detour through PDF and no lost styles, clause numbering or fields. The result can serve directly as an editable template for your team, and if the recipient prefers a PDF, you export it afterwards, already clean.

Subject, rent and term are kept because they are what makes the contract useful as a template or as a market reference.
Details that usually slip through when anonymizing a contract
The vertical stamp in the margin
E-signature platforms repeat signatories' names as rotated text on every page. The template treats it like horizontal text, which is exactly where checking by eye fails.
Representatives and attorneys
A company is not personal data, but its director is. The AI picks out the person signing on the company's behalf, and you decide whether the company name is hidden through a word set.
Bank accounts and references
The [G] IBAN español pattern finds the payment account even when it is split into blocks or run into the clause text.
Pseudonyms to work on the case
If the contract goes to an expert or reviewer and you later need the real names back, pseudonymization replaces the parties with consistent names and the map reverses it.
FAQ: anonymizing contracts
Does the anonymized Word file keep its formatting?
Yes. Word, Excel and PowerPoint are processed in their original format and downloaded in the same format, without converting to PDF. Styles and clause numbering are preserved.
Can my own company's name stay visible?
Yes. Add it to the template's whitelist and it stays visible in every contract where it appears, while the other party's details are hidden.
What if I want to hide the price as well?
Turn on amount detection or mark the figure during review. The template keeps the price visible by default, as that is common for templates and published contracts, but you can save your own variant.
Does it work with scanned contracts signed by hand?
Yes. OCR reads the scanned pages and the handwritten signature is covered with a drawn zone or a figure pattern repeated on every page.
Can I process a whole data room?
Yes. Upload a ZIP of contracts, apply the same template to the batch on the server and download a ZIP with results in their original formats.
