Anonimatum 1.9.0 — Learns from your corrections, case files, email and editable Word

Version 1.9.0 learns from your corrections and shows your group's detection quality; handles spreadsheets column by column, emails with attachments, multi-page TIFF and editable Word; groups documents into case files with their version history; and adds templates per document type, a group administration panel with an audit log and data retention, publishing to case management systems and webhooks. Pseudonymization is no longer beta, the GDPR option also detects licence plates and the app gains search, keyboard shortcuts, dark mode and mobile use. Release date: 19/10/2026.

Learning from your corrections

• When you remove a mark you can ask for that term not to be marked again: just for you or, if you manage the group, for the whole group. That saved whitelist is applied automatically to the next documents.
• When you manually mark text that was not detected, you can create a word or a pattern with a suggested, editable regular expression that shows how many matches it has in the document.
• Only the term or pattern you choose is saved, never the document.
• Detection quality in the group panel: proposed, removed and manually added marks by data type and period, with a chart, rates and CSV, without document names or content.

Spreadsheets, email, TIFF and editable Word

• Spreadsheets by column (.xlsx, .xls, .ods and .csv): Anonimatum suggests each column's data type and you choose to keep, redact, replace, pseudonymize or detect in text. The result comes out in the same format, with its sheets, formatting and formulas; it uses 1 page of quota per 50 rows.
• .eml and Outlook .msg email: headers, subject, body and supported attachments are anonymized, with the same substitute for the same data. The result is a ZIP with the email and attachments as PDF and, if you ask for it, the rebuilt .eml; attachments that cannot be anonymized are never included.
• Multi-page TIFF with one page per TIFF page and TIFF download too; iPhone HEIC photos keep their orientation.
• Editable Word: .docx and .odt files download with their formatting and the data replaced in headers, footers, notes and tables too; comments are removed, tracked changes are accepted and metadata is stripped. If any data remained, the file is not delivered and the PDF is offered instead.

Case files and version history

• New Case files screen: group the documents of a case, apply the same template through the queue and follow each one's status. Available if your plan includes the background queue.
• Each case file can have its own shared map and be shared with the whole group.
• Download the case file as a ZIP with the finished documents and a CSV and PDF index without names or personal data; maps can be included encrypted with a password.
• Version history: every anonymization or pseudonymization saves a version (up to 10 per document, encrypted and without the file name) that you can open or download.

Shared map and data retention

• With a shared map, the same data gets the same substitute in every document of a case file or of the whole group. Each map has its own password, which is not stored.
• Data retention: whoever manages the group can have documents and results deleted automatically after a number of days (1 to 365). The audit log is never deleted and records every deletion.

Templates per document type

• The Template selector applies the recommended options for a document type in one go: AI, patterns, word sets, whitelist, redaction and OCR.
• System templates for municipal resolutions, contracts with side signature stamps, invoices and audit reports (ENS, ISO), designed for transparency: they keep amounts, dates and case numbers visible.
• Save your options as a template, just for you or for the whole group.

Group administration and audit log

• Group administration panel inside the app: members with their status and pages this month, the Can de-anonymize permission, resending the access link, company accounts and group usage.
• Audit log in CSV or PDF for up to 366 days: date, user, operation, source (web, API or MCP), pages, document fingerprint and status. It never includes document names or content; it serves as evidence in ENS and ISO 27001 audits.
• The sign-up link expires after 7 days and, if an expired link is used, the screen says so clearly.

Publishing, cloud and webhooks

• Publish the anonymized PDF to your organization's case management system or transparency portal (REST or CMIS), with a neutral name and metadata without personal data.
• OneDrive / SharePoint and Google Drive: import documents and save results to the cloud once enabled for your organization. Anonimatum only accesses the files you choose.
• Signed webhooks without personal data when a batch or a publication finishes, with a delivery log and automatic retries. Details in the developer portal.

Expired plan

• If your organization's plan has expired, the app says so with a clear notice and how to get in touch to renew it.
• Meanwhile you can still browse your history, download results already generated, use Saved maps and de-anonymize.
• The API answers 403 PLAN_EXPIRED and AI assistants receive the same message.

Anonimatum Pro, Pro+ and Ultra plans

• The plans you buy online are now Anonimatum Pro, Pro+ and Ultra, replacing Personal, Basic and Professional. If you already have one of those plans, you keep it as it is.
• They differ in usage and features. Pro comes with standard usage; Pro+ with 5 times as much and Ultra with 25 times as much. The PDF tools come with all three; pseudonymization, background anonymization and MCP connectors start at Pro+; and downloading documents with copyable text is exclusive to Ultra. Group plans add several users, integrations and API access.
• Each plan is for one user, billed monthly or yearly (a year costs the same as 10 months). For teams, get in touch.

Stable pseudonymization

• No longer beta and de-anonymizing is available to everyone, with clear messages if the map or password is not valid.
• Sector profiles (GDPR, Healthcare, Justice, Research, AI training and Testing) that preload the method for each data type.
• In the queue, the map is always encrypted with the password you choose; it never travels in clear text.
• Image + text PDFs are considerably faster for long documents and lighter.

AI detection

• The GDPR option also detects vehicle licence plates, in the text and in the photos inside PDFs and editable Word files.
• The Faces option is withdrawn; saved templates that included it keep working without it.
• Documents in Portuguese, French and Italian are recognized automatically, including their identity documents (NIF and Cartão de Cidadão, French social security number, codice fiscale).
• Fewer false positives: place formulas and stray numbers are no longer marked.

Search, accessibility and mobile

• Search the document (Ctrl/⌘+F) and mark all matches at once; keyboard shortcuts to move through marks and undo or redo (Ctrl/⌘+Z).
• Dark mode and improved accessibility per WCAG 2.1 AA.
• From your phone you can check the queue, download results and see your profile.
• What's new screen in the app and a user manual in English.

Public API

• New spreadsheet, email, editable Word, TIFF, case file and webhook operations in the public API; the 1.9.0 OpenAPI reference is in the developer portal.
• Expired plan, exhausted quota and missing resource errors arrive with their code, also to assistants connected via MCP.
