Presentations are a format of misleading trust: they look summarized, get projected in full rooms and forwarded by email as if they were not a case file. In practice a PPTX can hold more personal data than the PDF report it came from — because it includes screenshots, customer names in examples, speaker notes and older slide versions.

Where data hides in a presentation

• Slide body: names, roles, logos with legal entity names, amounts, contract dates.

Recommended flow before sending the PPTX

1. Define audience and channel

Projecting in a closed room is not the same as uploading the file to a campus or emailing a vendor. Audience drives how aggressive redaction must be and whether PDF is enough or you need editable PPTX.

2. Clean notes and hidden slides

Before or during automatic anonymization, review the notes pane and remove hidden slides that no longer help. They are the classic «I forgot they were still there».

3. Detect text + treat images

4. Preview as if you were the recipient

• Reusing a template with previous project data in the slide master.
